Bruneian Social Media Influencer Woodyrman Accused of Fatal Assault in Jakarta's Blok M

Bruneian social media influencer Mohammad Irman Ali, known as Woodyrman (33), has come under scrutiny after being arrested in connection with the alleged assault of a fellow Bruneian national in Jakarta’s Blok M area, which resulted in death. The case went viral on social media after CCTV footage showed the victim, identified as MHF (30), collapsing unconscious after allegedly being struck with a paper bag containing glass bottles in the early hours of Wednesday, 6 May 2026. The victim underwent intensive care for 10 days before succumbing to his injuries. Woodyrman is currently in police custody and undergoing investigation by the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya). He first gained social media prominence in 2020 through content related to trading and finance. On Instagram, he has over 24,000 followers and frequently presents himself as a professional trader and content creator. Woodyrman is also said to hold a Certificate in Technical Analysis (CTA) and is known as the founder of a trading community. On social media, he has frequently collaborated with several Indonesian public figures, including Praz Teguh, Cellos, Sintya Marisca, Bachrul Alam, and Aleh Rahmat Hidayat. He has also appeared in content with other Indonesian influencers, including supporting content creator programmes and entertainment events. In his social media posts, Woodyrman has shared videos of Vespa touring in West Sumatra with various influencers. Shortly before the incident, Woodyrman arrived carrying a paper bag suspected to contain glass bottles. The two exchanged words before a quarrel broke out. ‘The suspect allegedly struck the victim once on the head with a paper bag containing glass bottles, causing him to fall,’ said Budi on Tuesday, 26 May 2026. According to police, the altercation initially occurred in front of a minimarket before moving across the street near the victim’s hotel. CCTV footage circulating shows several individuals attempting to intervene as the two became physically involved.
