Brunei Citizen Fatally Assaulted in Blok M; Social Media Influencer Woodyrman Arrested
Police are investigating the assault of a Brunei citizen, identified as MHF (30), which resulted in his death. The perpetrator, identified as MIA (33), also a Brunei national, has been arrested.
“We have successfully arrested one suspect, MIA, male, 33 years old, a foreign national from Brunei Darussalam,” said Polda Metro Jaya Public Relations Chief Kombes Budi Hermanto to journalists on Tuesday (26/5/2026).
The suspect was apprehended in the early hours of Monday (25/5) in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. Police confirmed MIA is a social media influencer known as Woodyrman, alias Mohammad Irman Ali.
“Correct (Woodyrman the influencer). The suspect is currently being taken to Polda Metro Jaya for further investigation,” he added.
AKBP Resa Fiardi Marasabessy, Sub-Director of Resmob in Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, stated the arrest followed a series of investigations. Police also secured evidence, including CCTV footage from the scene.
“Based on the investigation, the team successfully identified the suspected perpetrator. Subsequently, the arrest was carried out,” said Ressa.
The suspect faces charges under Article 466 paragraph (3) and/or Article 468 paragraph (2) of Law No. 1 of 2023 on the Indonesian Criminal Code for assault causing death.

According to circulating videos on Tuesday (26/5/2026), a disturbance occurred in the Blok M area. The victim and suspect were seen arguing.
Several people attempted to intervene, but the altercation continued until the victim was struck with a bottle. The victim was seen lying on the ground. The assailant is reported to be a social media influencer.
“Indeed, an alleged assault incident resulting in the victim’s death occurred in the Blok M, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta area,” said Polda Metro Jaya Public Relations Chief Kombes Budi Hermanto to journalists on Tuesday (26/5).
The incident took place on Wednesday (6/5) at 3:30 AM WIB. The victim, MHF (30), a Brunei citizen, was declared dead at RSPP on Saturday (16/5).
Budi explained that the incident began when the victim was at the location with a witness. Shortly after, several others arrived and sat down to converse with the victim.
“Approximately at 3:28 AM WIB, the suspect arrived at the scene with an accomplice by car. Upon exiting the vehicle, the suspect carried a black paper bag suspected to contain glass bottles, then approached the victim leading to an argument at the Blok M Hub entrance,” he stated.
The dispute continued, and the suspect ultimately struck the victim with a glass bottle.
