Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park Closes All Tourist Access Due to Forest Fires

The Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) authority has closed all access to the Mount Bromo tourist area in Pasuruan Regency, East Java, since Saturday (8/8/2026) at 22:00 WIB, following the spread of forest and land fires. The closure was implemented to ensure the safety of tourists and to support firefighting operations.

Meanwhile, several nearby tourist destinations remain safe for visitors, including Seruni Point, the Bromo Glass Bridge, and the Seruni Point Tourist Terminal. Authorities are continuing to monitor the development of the fires to ensure the safety of the area before reopening access to Bromo.
