The House of Representatives’ Legislation Body (Baleg) has added several draft laws or bills to the list of the 2026 Priority National Legislation Program (Prolegnas). Baleg Chairman Bob Hasan stated that five bills have been added to this priority prolegnas.

Bob said the addition of these five bills was agreed upon during a working meeting with the government and the Regional Representative Council (DPD) on Wednesday, 15 April 2026.

“Of course, this will be read out at the upcoming plenary session,” Bob said at the DPR, MPR, and DPD Complex on Wednesday.

The five bills entering the additional list for the 2026 Priority Prolegnas include the Broadcasting Bill; the Housing and Settlement Areas Bill; the Curator Profession Bill; the Auctions Bill; and the Environmental Protection and Management Bill (PPLH).

In addition to the addition to the 2026 Priority Prolegnas, Bob continued, this working meeting also agreed on the status changes of proposals and several nomenclature replacements for bills already in the previous priority Prolegnas list.

For example, the Broadcasting Bill; Curator Profession; PPLH; and Housing and Settlement Areas now become DPR initiative proposals. Meanwhile, the Auctions Bill is a government proposal.

Changes in the proposal status of bills from government proposals to DPR initiative proposals were also made for the Indigenous Legal Community Bill and the Narcotics and Psychotropics Bill. “The Indigenous Legal Community Bill becomes the Indigenous Peoples Bill, agreed,” Bob said.

He explained that these changes in proposal status and nomenclature are carried out to maximise legislative work in line with dynamics. “So that the direction of legislation is synchronised with the latest legal dynamics and the urgent needs of society,” said the Gerindra Party politician.

Based on information listed on the official dpr.go.id website, there are 64 bills recorded in the 2026 Priority Prolegnas list. With the addition of 5 bills, the 2026 Priority Prolegnas now contains 69 bills.
