A foreign national (WNA) from England has been found dead in the waters of Nyang-Nyang Beach, Pecatu Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali, on Sunday, 15 March 2026. The victim was identified as Jonathan Joel Kennedy, aged 39.

Kennedy’s body was first discovered by tourists visiting the beach at approximately 07.45 Western Indonesia Time (WIT). At the time of discovery, the victim was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and black shorts.

The Denpasar Search and Rescue Office (Basarnas) received a report regarding the discovery at 08.20 WIT. The head of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office, I Nyoman Sidakarya, stated that the report was submitted by the Village Civil Defence Officer (Babinsa) of Pecatu, who requested evacuation assistance.

“The SAR duty officers on shift today received information from the Pecatu Babinsa requesting evacuation assistance due to the discovery of a body in the sea,” explained Sidakarya.

Four personnel were immediately dispatched to the location and arrived one hour later.
