British National Deported for Immigration Violations

A foreign national holding British citizenship, identified by the initials AM, has been deported to his home country. The action was taken after the Cirebon Class I Immigration Office (TPI) found he had breached Indonesian immigration provisions.

AM was known to have been living in Indramayu Regency. Following an inspection by officers, he was found not to have fulfilled the immigration requirements applicable to foreign nationals residing in Indonesian territory, leading to an administrative immigration measure in the form of deportation.

The Head of the Cirebon Class I TPI Immigration Office, Komang Trisna Diatmika, speaking through the Head of the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Section, Deny Haryadi, said that Indonesia remains open to foreign nationals arriving for various purposes. However, every foreigner entering Indonesia is obliged to comply with the prevailing laws and regulations.

“When these obligations are not met, Immigration will take action in accordance with the provisions,” Deny asserted yesterday.
