Britain's Princess Anne due in Vietnam
VIETNAM: Princess Anne, the only daughter of Britain's Queen
Elizabeth II, is due in Vietnam on Saturday to promote British
interests in business, development and social issues, an embassy
spokesman said.
The five-day visit starts on Saturday in the commercial hub of
Ho Chi Minh City and takes in the former imperial capital of Hue
and a rural development project in the north-central province of
Ha Tinh. She then will head to the capital Hanoi, the spokesman
said on Friday.
The princess will also spend time in Ha Tinh's Cam Xuyen
district, where Save the Children Fund UK operates.
Princess Anne has been president of the Save the Children Fund
since 1970 and has built up an extensive knowledge of development
issues during more than three decades of touring the world as its
ambassador. --AFP
