Networking and connections are crucial for every SME player to accelerate their business. This factor also significantly influences market expansion for each SME product. Three SMEs fostered by BRI have managed to realise this through a collaboration on healthy products.

It all began with casual chats at Rumah BUMN Jakarta in June 2025. Yusnianti, who owns the business Bakpao Gandum by RoyalKueID, and Christine K Purnama of Omah Sedap Nusantara were attending training there. Both are SMEs fostered by BRI through Rumah BUMN Jakarta.

Rumah BUMN Jakarta, a platform for training and developing its member SMEs to upgrade their status, holds numerous training sessions daily. It was from these meetings at Rumah BUMN Jakarta that the relationship between Yusnianti and Christine gradually developed.

‘With Mrs Christine, we both attended the Rumah BUMN event, all about upgrading SMEs. That’s where we got acquainted, we chatted, “Oh right, what’s your product?”’ Yusnianti recounted recently.

During the training, Yusnianti and Christine exchanged information about their products. Yusnianti actively explained to fellow participants that her product, wholewheat bao buns, targets customers who want delicious food while still prioritising health aspects. Christine’s products, she said, also embrace a healthy living concept, namely jamu, traditional spiced drinks, and shredded meat floss.

‘We shared with each other because at that time I was quite active in introducing to other SMEs that my product is a health-oriented lifestyle product. And Mrs Christine also has a concept of abon that is more health-focused,’ Yusnianti said.

Knowing their products shared a similar concept, Yusnianti and Christine often chatted and met. It was from this introduction at Rumah BUMN BRI that their collaboration materialised.

‘When I offered her to place her products at my shop, she was interested. Eventually, she visited my shop and started stocking her goods,’ Yusnianti said.

‘I also helped create content about her products, that they can be bought here, in a collaboration. So those were the early days of us learning about collaborative content. We are both obsessed with offering healthier and more substantial food. We consume our own products too,’ she added.

Christine confirmed Yusnianti’s story. From that introduction, she is now able to collaborate and stock her products at the RoyalKueID outlet in Fresh Market PIK, North Jakarta.

On Wednesday, Christine visited Yusnianti’s shop. She brought D’Plok brand jamu beras kencur and kunyit asam, as well as Bonwie brand shredded chicken, spicy shredded chicken, shredded beef, spicy shredded beef, and shredded banana blossom. She also brought La’Cookish gluten-free cashew and sesame cookies made with mocaf flour. She intended to stock her products in Yusnianti’s shop that day.

‘I got to know Mrs Yus during training at Rumah BUMN on Jl. S Parman. From chatting, Mrs Yus offered that she has an outlet and we could collaborate there,’ she said.

There is one more BRI-assisted SME collaborating at the shop. Crispy Salad is the product name, and Irvan Tan is the owner. Crispy Salad consists of real vegetable crisps dried using vacuum-dry and freeze-dry technology without MSG, colouring, preservatives, or other chemicals.

The three products complement each other in promoting a health-conscious concept. These three products can now be found in one shop owned by Yusnianti.

‘We also have partners like RoyalKueID PIK. Yes, we are stocking products and we also work with resellers. For resellers, we are in major cities across Indonesia,’ said Irvan Tan at Yusnianti’s shop.

Meanwhile, Yusnianti mentioned that Irvan is a family acquaintance. She learned about various coaching programmes, including from Rumah BUMN BRI, thanks to Irvan who had already started his SME business earlier. Based on information from Irvan, Yusnianti became interested and joined the coaching.

Yusnianti has also met and collaborated with Irvan several times at SME exhibitions. Now, Crispy Salad can also be found at the RoyalKueID shop.

‘Because I have a place, like Mrs Christine, I have a space, so I offered him to collaborate. Irvan is the one who helped us create collaborative content. Moreover, our products interact in the sense that his product is air-fried vegetables. Our concept is also the same, we are in the movement to build healthy families in Indonesia. We are just happy to be able to help each other,’ she said.
