BRI's LinkUMKM Empowers Zdrink to Develop Chocolate Drink from Lampung Cocoa
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk continues to strengthen micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) empowerment through business mentoring and capacity-building programmes, including Zdrink, a West Jakarta-based beverage MSME developing ready-to-mix chocolate drinks using Lampung’s native cocoa.
Founded in 2022, Zdrink is known for its menu items such as Chocolate, Cappuccino, Taro, Avocado, and Oreo. Among these variants, Chocolate and Cappuccino are the most popular with customers. In addition to ready-to-mix beverages that are easy to carry, Zdrink has also developed packaged drink powders sold both online and offline.
Zdrink founder Redi Noverindo explained that the business idea stemmed from simple experiences in his child’s school environment, evolving into a business opportunity. “The business began on 10 March 2022 when I was no longer employed. It started from my child’s habit of buying chocolate, strawberry, and other drinks at school. From there, I began thinking of selling drinks with flavours such as chocolate, Oreo, taro, avocado, and others. Thus, Zdrink was formed with its first stall in front of SD Kelapa Dua, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. As the process continued, Zdrink also began producing packaged chocolate powder now sold both online and offline,” he said.
To expand its business, Zdrink utilises BRI’s empowerment ecosystem through LinkUMKM and training programmes such as BRIncubator. Starting from information obtained on Instagram, Zdrink actively participated in empowerment initiatives to enhance business knowledge and development. “Training programmes like BRIncubator have been highly beneficial, particularly for marketing through events, bazaars, and online channels,” he added.
In daily operations, Zdrink also uses BRI services such as BRI QRIS, which simplifies transactions and improves sales recording accuracy. As the business grows, Zdrink actively markets its products through offline stores, marketplaces, bazaars, and MSME exhibitions.
Zdrink has faced challenges, including failing to pass product curation processes for some MSME events. These experiences have motivated the company to continuously improve product quality and expand its market.
By the end of April 2026, LinkUMKM has been utilised by over 16.46 million MSMEs as an online business mentoring platform, from capacity-building to market expansion and accelerating business growth. LinkUMKM offers six integrated features: UMKM Smart, BUMN House, Media, Community, Digital Showcase, Coaching Clinic, and other services including NIB registration, supported by over 840 learning modules to strengthen entrepreneurs’ soft and hard skills.
In a separate statement, BRI Corporate Secretary Dhanny noted that the development of businesses like Zdrink demonstrates how simple ideas can evolve into strong product-driven ventures. “Zdrink shows that simple ideas can become business opportunities with strong flavour profiles. Consistency in maintaining chocolate taste and adapting through digital marketing are crucial for MSMEs to grow amidst market competition. Through LinkUMKM, BRI will continue to provide learning and mentoring support to enable more MSMEs to grow and expand sustainably,” she concluded.
