Behind the pulse of economic activity in every corner of the nation’s villages, BRI continues to bring financial services ever closer to the public.

Through its BRILink Agent network, BRI is not only expanding access to banking services but also fostering economic activity across remote parts of Indonesia. As of June 2026, BRILink Agents numbered 1.13 million, serving communities in more than 60,753 villages.

This role is reflected in the high transaction activity during the first half of 2026. BRILink Agents recorded more than 501 million transactions with a sales volume of Rp 841 trillion.

This achievement underscores the role of BRILink Agents as financial service infrastructure that supports public economic activity, broadens financial inclusion, and strengthens the grassroots economy throughout Indonesia.

The network, which extends widely into remote areas, serves as an important foundation for BRI to broaden the economic impact felt by the public.

As part of the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem, BRI continues to strengthen the role of BRILink Agents as the spearhead of expanding financial inclusion, empowering micro-enterprises, and equalising access to formal financial services.

As such, the value creation generated is reflected not only in the company’s business growth but also in increased economic activity and public welfare across various regions.

BRI Micro Director Akhmad Purwakajaya emphasised that the partnership model built through BRILink Agents applies a sharing economy concept focused on community empowerment.

Owners of small stalls, market kiosks, and ultra-micro businesses in remote areas are now not only assisted in terms of transaction convenience but also have a promising new source of income.

“In the momentum of commemorating the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, BRI interprets independence as an equal opportunity for every member of society to grow and develop, without being limited by geographic location,” Akhmad said in a statement on Tuesday (11/8/2026).

BRILink Agents have become one of BRI’s mainstays in reaching the transaction needs of communities in various regions.

This network, he said, provides services that are easily accessible to the public and accelerates transaction processes, so that public economic activity continues to run. This role positions BRILink Agents as drivers of the grassroots economy.

The transformation of BRILink Agents continues to evolve. Agents have now transformed into complete community service centres, ranging from bill payments, mobile credit purchases, insurance services, to loan referrals.

Going forward, BRI will consistently continue to provide mentoring, education on advanced feature utilisation, and loyalty programmes to ensure these financial heroes in the regions continue to grow and become self-reliant.

Through this inclusive network, BRI together with the public will continue to strengthen the pillars of national economic resilience, ensuring that every inch of Indonesia can feel the pulse of progress and equitable prosperity.
