Briptu GYK Dismissed by Jembrana Police Resort Over Embezzlement Case
The Jembrana Police Resort has immediately dismissed Briptu GYK after he was proven to be involved in a criminal embezzlement case. A firm sanction in the form of Dismissal Without Honour (PTDH) was imposed without compromise.
The PTDH ceremony for the member transferred from the Buleleng Police Resort was held on Thursday (9/4/2026). The dismissal was based on the Decision of the Bali Police Chief Number: Kep/84/II/2026, issued on 24 February 2026.
Jembrana Police Chief AKBP I Kadek Citra Dewi Suparwati confirmed the dismissal. She emphasised that the step was taken to safeguard the integrity of the National Police (Polri) institution.
“It is true that there is personnel who must deal with internal legal matters. To maintain organisational integrity in accordance with the Bali Police Chief’s decision, PTDH is carried out,” Citra stated when confirmed by detikBali on Thursday (9/4/2026).
Citra explained that Briptu GYK was proven to have committed the criminal offence of embezzlement. Therefore, the Jembrana Police Resort provides no tolerance for members who violate the law.
“If it is already a criminal offence, we certainly conduct an ethics code trial and firm steps such as PTDH are taken,” Citra stressed.
Previously, Briptu GYK had been under internal supervision since the end of 2025. This was related to violation records in the Jembrana Police Resort environment.
Throughout 2025, the Jembrana Police Resort recorded three problematic personnel with internal legal issues. One personnel was caught in a disciplinary violation, while the other two underwent ethics code trials.
Briptu GYK was included in the list of monitored personnel. Even during the year-end performance release event last year, the Jembrana Police Chief mentioned the potential for firm sanctions against members still in process.
“One member is still in process and there is a possibility of PTDH action. Still in process,” Citra said during the year-end press release event at the Jembrana Police Resort Hall, Wednesday (31/12/2025).
