BRIN's Nuclear Technology Polytechnic Opens Registration for New Students via Written Exam Pathway
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Nuclear Technology Polytechnic (Poltek Nuklir) of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is opening New Student Admissions (PMB) via the Written Exam Pathway Wave I for the 2026/2027 Academic Year for those interested in developing competencies in nuclear technology.
Deputy Director for Non-Academic Affairs at Poltek Nuklir BRIN, Sukarman, stated that this Written Exam Pathway is one of the new student admission routes for Poltek Nuklir for the 2026/2027 academic year, alongside the Achievement Pathway. The programme is intended for graduates of SMA/SMK/MA exact sciences programmes or equivalents from the years 2024 to 2026.
“The vocational education programme at the Diploma IV level at Poltek Nuklir has three study programmes: Instrumentation Electronics, Electromechanics, and Nuclear Technochemistry, designed to produce job-ready graduates with competencies in nuclear technology,” he said in Jakarta on Saturday.
Currently, nuclear technology plays an increasingly vital role, not only in energy utilisation but also in non-energy fields such as health, industry, and agriculture.
Registration is open from 13 April to 1 May 2026 through the official PMB Poltek Nuklir portal at https://pmb.polteknuklir.ac.id/.
“With a registration fee of Rp200,000.00, this pathway has a quota of 50 per cent or meeting the passing grade set from the total new student admission quota for the 2026/2027 academic year,” he said.
Selections will be conducted in stages, starting from administrative selection, Basic Ability Test (TKD), Academic Potential Test (TPA), to interviews conducted online.
In the registration process, participants need to prepare complete registration documents in soft file format, maximum 2 MB per file, consisting of a scan of the report card on the student identity page (for 2026 graduates who have not yet received their diploma), or a legalised diploma, as well as a formal passport photo with a blue background, maximum 100 KB in jpg format.
All documents are uploaded in digital format through the provided online system. Sukarman emphasised that participants must finalise their registration after uploading all documents. Participants who do not finalise will not be processed in the administrative selection stage.
In addition, each participant is responsible for the validity of the inputted data. Data changes are not permitted after the finalisation process. If document forgery or violation of provisions is found, the participant will be subject to sanctions in the form of cancellation of candidate student status.
The selection implementation schedule is as follows:
· Registration: 13 April – 1 May 2026
· Announcement of administrative selection results: 12 May 2026
· Basic Ability Test-TKD (CBT): 18 May 2026

· Announcement of TKD and TPA: 20 May 2026
· Interview (Online): 22 May 2026
