Bring an Umbrella as Jakarta braces for rain Friday afternoon and evening

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts that on Friday afternoon and evening the DKI Jakarta region will be affected by light rain.

The information posted by BMKG on its official Instagram account cited in Jakarta on Friday states that the DKI region, including West Jakarta, East Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, South Jakarta and the Thousand Islands Regency, in the morning is forecast to be partly cloudy to cloudy.

The partly cloudy weather in Jakarta continues into Friday noon, with air temperatures ranging from 30-33 degrees Celsius.

Moving to the afternoon, the whole of Jakarta will be drenched by rain of moderate to heavy intensity, except for the Thousand Islands Regency which will be heavily cloudy.

On Friday night rain remains in all parts of DKI Jakarta, while around midnight it will be mostly heavily overcast.

It is known that light rain drops less than 1-5 mm per hour, whereas moderate rain brings 5-10 mm per hour.

On that day, wind speeds in the five areas will range from 3-6 kilometres per hour, with air temperatures between a low of 25 and a high of 33 degrees Celsius.
