The Brimob unit of Jakarta Metro Police’s Regional Police Headquarters (Polda Metro Jaya) organised a charity distribution and communal breaking of the fast at At Taubah Mosque in Kwitang, Central Jakarta. Assistance was channelled to children from the Yayasan Rumah Piatu Muslimin (Muslim Orphanage Foundation) during the event.

The Commander of Brimob Polda Metro Jaya, Senior Commissioner Henik Maryanto, stated that the activity forms part of the force’s commitment to presenting a more humanistic and responsive police service to community needs. “We want the presence of Brimob to be genuinely felt in its benefits. Ramadan is the right time to share and strengthen care for others, especially orphaned children who need attention,” Henik said on Saturday, 28 February 2026.

The programme commenced with the distribution of assistance to orphaned children, followed by collective prayers and breaking of the fast with the congregation. The presence of Brimob in this activity represents a form of social care directly experienced by beneficiaries whilst strengthening the relationship between Brimob and the community.

The Head of the Information Division of Satbrimob Polda Metro Jaya, First Inspector Jemmy Yudanindra, who also attended, stated that this activity is not merely a routine agenda but rather a manifestation of sustained social service. “The bonds formed through activities like this will strengthen the sense of togetherness and foster community trust in the police,” he said.

Through this charity and communal breaking-of-fast initiative, Brimob Polda Metro Jaya hopes the spirit of sharing continues to grow within the community. By maintaining care and togetherness, public order and security can become stronger as it is built on the foundation of harmonious relations between Brimob and residents.

Meanwhile, personnel from Batalyon C Pelopor of Satuan Brimob Polda Metro Jaya organised the distribution of iftar (breaking-of-fast) packages to the public and road users in the RE Martadinata Road area, Ciputat, on Saturday, 28 February. This sharing initiative represents a tangible expression of Brimob’s concern for the community still engaged in activities before the time to break the fast.

Eight personnel from Batalyon C Pelopor, led by First Brigadier Hendro Kuswoyo, directly engaged with the community whilst distributing iftar packages to motorists and residents passing through. “Ramadan is the right moment to strengthen the values of care and togetherness. We want the presence of Brimob to be directly felt in its benefits by the community,” he said.
