Mobile patrols were conducted alongside Perintis Presisi units and local police districts early Sunday (24 May). Multiple high-risk areas in Tangerang City, South Tangerang, Bekasi City, and East Jakarta were monitored by officers on the ground.

“During the operation, officers detained several individuals for further questioning. In Tangerang City, a man was arrested on suspicion of carrying 15 grams of synthetic narcotics,” said Brimob Polda Metro Jaya Battalion Commander Kombes Henik Maryanto in a statement on Sunday (24 May).

Police also detained three minors suspected of planning street racing in Karawaci for registration and guidance. Meanwhile, in Serpong, South Tangerang, a patrol team from the C Pelopor Battalion of Brimob Polda Metro Jaya prevented a potential street brawl on Ciater Raya Road.

“Seven youths were detained along with evidence of four machetes, one golf club, three motorcycles, and five mobile phones. In Bekasi City, four teenagers were arrested on suspicion of involvement with synthetic tobacco,” he added.

Patrols were also conducted in East Jakarta. A joint team from the B Pelopor Battalion of Brimob Polda Metro Jaya and Perintis Presisi of East Jakarta Police District detained two men in the PKP Main Road area of Ciracas, Pasar Rebo.

“Initial checks revealed 14 strips of Tramadol and five clips of synthetic tobacco,” he said.

Kombes Henik Maryanto stated that night and early morning patrols would be intensified as a preventive measure.

“These patrols are conducted to maintain a safe and conducive environment. The presence of officers on the ground is expected to prevent potential street brawls, illegal racing, and other criminal activities that threaten public order,” said Kombes Henik.

All detained individuals have been handed over to local police districts for further investigation. Polda Metro Jaya urged the public to report any potential public order disturbances immediately via the Polri Call Center 110 or nearest police station.
