The Maluku Regional Police confirmed that the case file has been transferred to the Tual Public Prosecutor’s Office. In this case, Bripda MS is charged under Article 76C in conjunction with Article 80 Paragraph 3 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection, in conjunction with Article 466 Paragraph 3 of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code. He faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison and a fine of up to Rp3 billion.

“So, once again, the case file has now been submitted for review by the public prosecutors,” said Johnny.

The National Police hopes that the prosecutors will soon declare the file complete, both formally and materially. This will allow the process to continue to the stage of handing over the suspect and evidence for trial in court.
