The Mobile Brigade (Brimob) unit of Metro Jaya Police conducted patrols at Pasar Senen Station in Central Jakarta. This effort was undertaken to ensure the safety and smooth flow of passengers during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming rush.

The patrol took place on Wednesday (25/3/2026), involving personnel from the Bomb Disposal Unit (Jibom) and the Combat Company (KBR) of the Brimob unit of Metro Jaya Police. The patrols and checks were carried out comprehensively.

The presence of Brimob personnel from Metro Jaya Police in the station area focused on monitoring zones that are central to passenger mobility, from arrival tracks and departures to waiting areas. This security measure is part of Operation Ketupat Jaya 2026, organised by the National Police (Polri) to ensure the Eid homecoming flow proceeds safely and orderly.

Commander of the Brimob unit of Metro Jaya Police, Senior Commissioner Henik Maryanto, stated that the presence of personnel at public transportation sites is a form of service by the police to the community. According to him, the security is carried out preventively and humanely so that the public can travel safely and comfortably, and activities at the station remain orderly.

Up to H+4 of Eid, Brimob personnel of Metro Jaya Police reported that the homecoming passenger flow at Pasar Senen Station in Central Jakarta was still observed to be busy.

Monitoring data at the site recorded 18,312 passengers arriving and 16,288 passengers departing from Pasar Senen Station on that morning. The high mobility of the public was still well-served thanks to the regulation of passenger flow and security carried out by officers in the field.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, stated that the involvement of the Brimob unit at Pasar Senen Station is to guarantee the safety of passengers.

“We want to ensure that our fellow citizens who are heading home for the holidays can undertake their journeys calmly, comfortably, and without worry about criminal disturbances in the station area,” said Budi Hermanto.

Furthermore, he urged the public to maintain order in the station area, pay attention to their belongings, and follow the instructions of officers so that the homecoming journey proceeds safely and smoothly. If assistance is needed or something suspicious is found, the public can immediately contact police services via the 110 call centre, which is ready to serve 24 hours a day.
