Brimob of Jakarta Metropolitan Police Detains Two Youths Carrying Drugs During West Jakarta Patrol

Brimob of Jakarta Metropolitan Police conducted a KRYD regional patrol across West Jakarta on Thursday (28 May 2026) early morning to preempt crime and drug abuse in high-risk areas. A patrol team led by Brigadier Alvien Rottama covered Grogol Petamburan to Tambora, visiting local security posts and engaging with residents to ensure safety.

During the patrol in Duri Utara, Tambora, officers observed two youths displaying suspicious behaviour. They were detained and taken to Tambora Police Station for further investigation by the Narcotics Investigation Unit, along with seized evidence. After the handover process, personnel continued patrolling major roads in West Jakarta.

Senior Commissioner Henik Maryanto, Brimob Battalion Commander, stated that routine area patrols serve as a visible police presence in the community. Preventive dialogic patrols effectively deter security threats and bolster public safety during late-night hours.
