As the Islamic holy month of Ramadan 1447 H/2026 M approaches, the Brimob unit of Metro Police Headquarters has demonstrated concrete social concern through a community service cleaning activity. Dozens of personnel were deployed to conduct cleaning operations at two locations: Central Jakarta and South Tangerang.

This activity is part of the Indonesian Police’s social service programme aimed at providing comfort for communities that will carry out worship in mosques during the fasting month.

In Central Jakarta, dozens of Brimob personnel were seen cleaning Al Ma’mur Mosque in Cikini. Equipped with complete cleaning supplies, the personnel worked together to clean every corner of the mosque, from sweeping the courtyard, mopping the main prayer hall floor, to cleaning the ablution area and toilet facilities.

The same action was not only carried out in the nation’s capital but also in surrounding areas. Brimob personnel from Metro Police Headquarters Battalion C were also deployed to Al Mubarokah Mosque in South Tangerang. At this location, officers worked alongside mosque management to clean the mosque carpets and tidy up the surrounding environment to make it appear more attractive and orderly.

The chairman of the mosque management committee expressed his appreciation for the Police’s direct involvement in assisting the community. According to him, the presence of dozens of uniformed personnel provided new spirit for residents to maintain the cleanliness of the worship environment.

Dansat Brimob Metro Police Headquarters Senior Commissioner Henik Maryanto stated that this activity aims to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood between police and the community. In addition to carrying out security duties, Brimob also wishes to be present as a service provider that cares about the religious and social aspects of residents.

“This activity is a form of our dedication to the community. We want to ensure that mosques are ready to be used for Ramadan worship in a clean, sacred, and comfortable condition,” said Senior Commissioner Henik on Wednesday (25/2/2026).
