Brimob Backs BNN in Raid on Drug Kingpin in Kampung Bahari
The Brimob unit of Polda Metro Jaya supported the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in an operation to eradicate suspected drug trafficking in Kampung Bahari, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. Three people were detained during the operation.
The operation took place on Thursday (13/8/2026) starting at 05.30 WIB. Brimob personnel together with the DKI Jakarta Provincial BNN moved to the location to arrest the suspects and search the crime scene. While officers were carrying out their duties, there was resistance from a group of people in the form of thrown objects and firecracker explosions.
Dansat Brimob Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Henik Maryanto, said his unit was ready to support efforts to eradicate drugs carried out together with relevant agencies. According to him, every action in the field was carried out firmly and measurably while prioritising the safety of officers and the public.

From the operation, officers seized two cars, one motorcycle, two firearms, three sharp weapons, seven packets of synthetic tobacco, dozens of rounds of ammunition, cash, as well as a number of mobile phones, CCTV equipment and other evidence.
The three people detained along with all the evidence were subsequently taken to the North Jakarta BNNK Office for further processing.
The National Police will continue to support the authorities’ efforts to curb drug trafficking that has the potential to disrupt community security. The public is urged not to engage in narcotics activities and to immediately report any suspicious activity through the Police Call Centre 110.
