BRILink Agent Fillio Successfully Expands Access to Financial Services
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The circulation of money in local communities depends on smooth transactions that support day-to-day business. In Dumai, Riau, Rahmi, through BRILink Agent Fillio, helps connect the financial needs of traders, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and local residents, while bringing banking services closer to where people conduct their economic activities.
Rahmi’s journey as the owner of BRILink Agent Fillio began in 2017 with a mobile-phone credit business. As her business grew, she recognised that people needed convenient financial transaction services that did not require a long journey to a bank branch.
“That encouraged me to join as a BRILink Agent. Thankfully, my business has now grown to four outlets, serving a range of community needs such as money transfers and bill payments,” she said in an official statement on Monday (26 October 2026).
BRILink Agent Fillio has also delivered wider benefits to the local economy. Beyond handling everyday transactions, the service helps traders pay business partners and suppliers, enabling them to replenish stocks and meet demand in the market.
Alongside supporting commerce, Rahmi seeks to ensure that financial services are accessible to people from all walks of life, including older customers who are not accustomed to digital services.
“When serving the community, whoever the customer may be — especially older people who are not familiar with digital transactions — I always stress to all staff that they should give them extra attention and patiently explain each step until they fully understand,” Rahmi said.
Rahmi said maintaining public trust was essential to running her business. As well as providing friendly and patient service, she works to ensure that customers’ transaction needs are met, whether for everyday financial matters or to support the smooth operation of businesses in Dumai.
Separately, BRI Corporate Secretary Dhanny said Rahmi’s business was an example of how BRILink Agents not only broaden access to banking services but also help sustain economic activity in communities across the country.
“Through its BRILink Agent network, BRI continues to expand access to financial services across Indonesia, including in remote areas. The presence of agents in communities is part of BRI’s commitment to promoting financial inclusion that delivers tangible benefits, not only by making transactions easier but also by strengthening the people’s economy,” Dhanny said.
As part of Financial Inclusion Month in October 2026, BRI is continuing to strengthen BRILink Agents’ role as a banking channel serving communities, including in rural areas. At the end of September 2026, BRI had a network of more than one million BRILink Agents, reaching more than 60,000 villages, or around 80% of Indonesia’s villages. The network had handled about 750 million transactions, with a transaction volume of Rp1,270 trillion.
