PT Pertamina Patra Niaga has officially reduced the price of its non-subsidised Bright Gas 5.5 kilogram canister by Rp4,000 per unit. The price adjustment is effective from 14 July 2026 for the Java region. The reduction in the price of Bright Gas 5.5 kg is one of the results of a periodic evaluation conducted by Pertamina Patra Niaga, taking into account market conditions and the applicable pricing mechanism. This move is expected to make non-subsidised LPG more competitive and remain a choice for the public. Vice President Corporate Communication of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, stated that the Bright Gas price adjustment is carried out periodically as part of the company’s efforts to present non-subsidised LPG products at competitive prices. ‘The Bright Gas price adjustment is made through periodic evaluations considering various factors affecting market conditions, while still referring to the applicable mechanism,’ Kitty said in a written statement on Tuesday, 15 July 2026. In the latest adjustment, the price of the 5.5 kilogram Bright Gas decreased from the previous Rp107,000 per canister to Rp103,000 per canister. Thus, there is a price reduction of Rp4,000 for each canister. The reduction applies to the Bright Gas Agent Selling Price in the Java region and is effective from 14 July 2026. Besides the 5.5 kg Bright Gas, Pertamina Patra Niaga also adjusted the price of the 12 kilogram Bright Gas. The latest price details for Bright Gas in Java are: Bright Gas 5.5 kg: from Rp107,000 to Rp103,000 per canister (down Rp4,000); Bright Gas 12 kg: from Rp228,000 to Rp220,000 per canister (down Rp8,000). Pertamina emphasised that these prices apply at the agent level for the Java region. Meanwhile, prices in other regions may differ according to the provisions applicable in each area. Pertamina Patra Niaga explained that the Bright Gas price adjustment is part of a routine periodic evaluation carried out by the company. The evaluation considers various factors affecting market conditions so that the price of non-subsidised LPG remains competitive. According to Kitty, the price adjustment mechanism is not carried out arbitrarily, but refers to applicable regulations while paying attention to market dynamics.
