Brigadier Nurhadi Death Case: Kompol Yogi Dismissed from Polri
NTB Regional Police officially imposed a penalty of dismissal without honour (PTDH) on Kompol I Made Yogi Purusa Utama from the police, Public Relations Head Kombes Pol Mohammad Kholid said in Mataram on Thursday. The heaviest sanction under the Police Professional Code of Ethics (KEPP) was carried out this morning in a formal ceremony at Lapangan Bhara Daksa, NTB Police. ‘So, in addition to awarding several police officers, there was also a PTDH ceremony for Kompol Yogi, who is currently undergoing court proceedings,’ he stated. He added that the PTDH decision against Kompol Yogi, implicated in the death of his former subordinate Brigadier Nurhadi, is a decision of the Police Ethics Council that has binding legal force. ‘There is a decision letter of non-honour,’ he said, ‘and today the ceremony was conducted.’ For Ipda I Gde Aris Chandra Widianto, who was also involved in the case, he explained that the PTDH decision from the Police Ethics Council has already been issued and is in their possession. ‘The decision has been issued; the process will proceed with the administrative paperwork of dismissal,’ he stated. Yogi and Aris Chandra are two of the three suspects in the death of Brigadier Nurhadi at a guesthouse on Gili Trawangan. The cases are now before the Mataram District Court, with the latest agenda the reading of defence notes. In the indictment, prosecutors asked the judge to impose an eight-year prison term on Aris Chandra for having been found guilty of aggravated assault and obstruction of justice. Meanwhile, Yogi is demanded a heavier sentence of fourteen years’ imprisonment for murder and obstruction of justice. (Ant).
