Brigadier Fajar Permana Dies of Exhaustion After Guarding Mudik Traffic

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – A member of the Metro Jaya Police Traffic Directorate, Brigadier Fajar Permana, passed away, suspected due to exhaustion after performing intensive field duties on Monday (23/3/2026). In addition to exhaustion, Fajar is also suspected to have experienced breathing difficulties while on duty. Separately, the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, has instructed the granting of a posthumous extraordinary rank promotion (KPLB) to Brigadier Fajar. “To appreciate the services of the late, we request a posthumous KPLB rank promotion. Thank you for his dedication in carrying out duties to provide the best service and devotion to the community and the institution,” he said to reporters on Monday.
