Bridgestone opens Thai center

TOKYO (DPA): Japan's Bridgestone Corporation has opened a
sales training center at the Nong Khae plant of Thai Bridgestone
Company Ltd, a spokesman said on Tuesday.

The new facility, Bridgestone/Firestone Training and
Communication Center, will train personnel from throughout Asia
and Oceania, the spokesman for the world's largest manufacturer
of tires and other rubber products said.

The center is the company's first facility in the region for
providing sales personnel with practical and systematic training.
Trainees from Bridgestone sales companies as well as independent
distributors in Asia and Oceania are to take part in the
program.

The 1,500-square-metre center is in Nong Khae, 82 kilometers
north of Bangkok.
