Jakarta – As the 2026 Eid holiday travel season approaches, Bridgestone Tire Indonesia has stressed the importance of ensuring vehicle condition remains optimal before embarking on long-distance journeys. One component deserving particular attention is the tyre, as it plays a direct role in driving safety.

Holiday travel typically covers hundreds to thousands of kilometres with varying road conditions. For this reason, travellers are advised not only to service their engines but also to inspect tyre condition even if they still appear visually sound.

Bridgestone Indonesia President Director Mukiat Sutikno stated that the company wants to remind the public to pay greater attention to tyre condition before travelling during the Eid holiday.

“The safety of holiday travellers is our top priority. Through reminders to maintain vehicles and tyres, as well as our Tire Check Service (TCS) initiative at two rest areas along the Cikampek tollway, we want to ensure that every vehicle passing through has tyres in prime condition to face the challenges of long-distance travel,” said Mukiat in a statement.

Generally speaking, tyre maintenance before the holiday travel season provides several important benefits for journey safety and comfort. Proper air pressure and tyre condition free from wear or dents can help reduce the risk of tyre blowouts when vehicles carry heavy loads.

Additionally, good tyre condition helps maintain vehicle control. Optimal traction enables drivers to perform emergency braking, evasive manoeuvres, and traverse wet roads or sharp curves more safely.

Tyre maintenance also impacts vehicle energy efficiency. Proper air pressure makes wheels rotate more easily, resulting in more efficient fuel consumption or electrical power usage during travel.

As part of its commitment to supporting driving safety during the Eid holidays, Bridgestone Indonesia is providing the Tire Check Service (TCS). The programme is conducted through one of its official partners, Paramita Ban, in collaboration with Toyota.

The tyre inspection service is available at two Cikampek tollway rest areas: Rest Area KM 57 towards Central Java/East Java on 16–29 March 2026, and Rest Area KM 62 towards Jakarta on 23–29 March 2026. Through this service, travellers can have their tyres inspected directly during their journey.

By providing the Tire Check Service at the main holiday travel routes, Bridgestone Indonesia hopes to help travellers ensure their vehicle tyres remain in prime condition so that journeys home can proceed more safely and comfortably.
