Bridge duo to get houses

JAKARTA (JP): Henky Lasut and Eddy Manoppo will each receive a
house from North Sulawesi Governor E.E. Mangindaan for their
significant roles in Indonesia's cruise to the final of the 10th
Bridge Olympiad on Rhode Island earlier this month.

Executive chairman of the North Sulawesi sports council Edward
Posumah told Antara yesterday that two 70-square-meter houses
will be handed over to Henky and Eddy in the very near future.

Both Henky and Eddy were each awarded a 54-square-meter house,
along with all North Sulawesi's medalists, after the National
Games in September.

France snatched their second consecutive gold medal in the
Olympics after beating Indonesia 238-329. (yan)
