Bridge Destroyed, Iran 'Strikes' F-16 Base and US Amphibious Ships
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TEHERAN — The United States-Israel attack that destroyed a bridge in Karaj has received a response. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported on Friday (3/4/2026) that the Iranian Air Force and Navy have launched a series of coordinated attacks in Wave 92 of Operation True Promise 4. These strikes targeted US and Israeli military installations in the region using advanced ballistic missiles and kamikaze combat drones. The IRGC stated that several US amphibious landing craft (LCU) docked at Al-Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait were destroyed by ballistic missile strikes. LCUs are heavy transport vessels used by amphibious forces, particularly the US Navy, to move troops, vehicles, and equipment from sea to land. Additionally, drone attacks reportedly destroyed the high-performance 3D tactical air surveillance radar, AR327 Commander. This S-band radar, designed for long-range detection and air defence, is located at the Jabal al-Dukhan radar site in Bahrain. The radar system inherently has rapid mobilisation capabilities and can be operated in extreme environments, from the Arctic to the Gulf region. F-16 Squadron Targeted The IRGC Air Force also conducted missile strikes on Ramat David Airbase southeast of Haifa, which serves as the base for Israel’s F-16 fighter jet squadrons. In addition, Khorramshahr-4 missiles with hypergolic fuel and cluster warheads were launched. These attacks reportedly targeted more than 50 locations in Tel Aviv and other occupied territories as part of the “fire-for-fire” tactics. The impact of the cluster bombs was recorded in several areas of Haifa on Friday local time.
