Eight corpses washed ashore in Malaysia: The decomposing bodies
of eight men believed to be foreign fishermen have washed ashore
in Malaysia's northern state of Kelantan, official news agency
Bernama said on Monday, quoting police. The men, believed to be
Thai nationals, were probably aged between 30 and 40 and could
have been dead for a week, police spokesman Roslan Ahmad said.
Kelantan borders Thailand. District police chief Mohd Soaihami
Rahim said the first body was found at 10.30 p.m. on Sunday, and
the others on Monday. Villagers said some of the bodies were
tattooed, and were missing limbs or even heads, and bore injuries
probably caused by fish. -- Reuters
