BRI Strengthens Transformation Framework to Optimise Danantara's Role

Jakarta - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk is strengthening its business transformation framework to optimise the role of Danantara Indonesia in the national economy. “As part of the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem, BRI ensures that every transformation step not only produces healthy and sustainable business growth, but also expands its contribution to the people’s economy,” said BRI President Director Hery Gunardi in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday. The transformation is encapsulated through BRIvolution Reignite, which rests on two main pillars. The first pillar, Transform the Funding Franchise, is directed at strengthening BRI’s funding structure to be more efficient, stable, and based on low-cost funds through strengthening CASA and enhancing transaction banking capabilities. Hery stated that BRIvolution Reignite is designed to ensure BRI can grow healthier, more efficient, and more competitive, while remaining consistent in carrying out its role as a bank that supports the people’s economy. “This transformation is part of BRI’s commitment to delivering greater value creation in line with the strategic direction of Danantara Indonesia,” he said. As of the first quarter of 2026, BRI Group’s total assets grew 7.2 percent year-on-year to Rp2,250 trillion, while loans and financing increased 13.7 percent to Rp1,562 trillion.
