BRI Strengthens Batam Industrial Zone Investment Ecosystem via Integrated Solutions
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BRI, continues to strengthen its role in supporting investment growth and business activity across Indonesia. One region of focus is Batam, Riau Islands, which holds a strategic position as an industrial zone and a key entry point for foreign investment into Indonesia.
This was highlighted at the Batam Investment Forum 2026 held in Batam on Thursday (13/8). The event brought together various stakeholders to discuss strengthening investment and developing the business ecosystem in Batam. Attendees included BRI’s Group Head of Corporate Banking 4, Adhi Pratama; BP Batam’s Deputy for Investment, Fary Djemy Francis; BP Batam’s Director of Investment, Dendi Gustinandar; Head of OJK Riau Islands, Sinar Danandjaya; and Deputy Chairman of HKI Riau Islands Region, Peter Vincent.
BRI’s Director of Corporate Banking, Riko Tasmaya, stated that the characteristics of investor needs continue to evolve with the stages of their business. Therefore, BRI positions its banking services as part of the investment ecosystem by providing integrated solutions tailored to company needs.
“Every investment has different needs at each stage. From preparing for investment to entering the operational phase, companies require financial support and a business ecosystem that can sustain their operations. BRI is present with solutions tailored to these needs so that investors can run and develop their businesses optimally,” said Riko in a written statement on Sunday (16/8/2026).
Additionally, BRI, through its Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) team, provides support for foreign investors looking to develop their business activities in Indonesia. Through this team, BRI can understand investor needs more comprehensively while connecting them with the various capabilities and services available within the BRI Group.
“BRI wants to be present from the moment investors start building their business in Indonesia. Therefore, the support we provide does not stop at financing but includes transaction needs, trade and forex, cash flow management, and various solutions that support the company’s operational activities,” Riko continued.
Support for investor needs is further strengthened through synergy with BRI Group subsidiaries, such as BRI Insurance (BRINS), which provides protection for various assets related to investment realisation, from factory buildings, equipment, and vehicles to micro-insurance needs.
Meanwhile, to support company mobility and operational needs, BRI Finance offers vehicle financing solutions. This synergy expands BRI Group’s support so that investor needs can be served more comprehensively, both in terms of financing and asset protection.
These various capabilities are integrated into the One BRI Solution concept, where companies can obtain financial solutions according to their business needs within a single ecosystem. Available services include corporate accounts, corporate cards, foreign exchange transactions, trade finance, bank guarantees, cash management, payroll, and various facilities for employees, including home and vehicle ownership financing.
This is relevant for Batam, which continues to grow as an investment destination. The presence of new companies is expected not only to increase investment value but also to create a multiplier effect by opening opportunities for suppliers, workers, and local businesses to enter the industrial supply chain.
“With integrated capabilities, an extensive network, and a customer ecosystem from various segments, BRI is optimistic it can be a partner with comprehensive solutions for investors, while continuing to support the entry of quality investment and help create a multiplier effect for economic activity in Batam and Indonesia,” concluded Riko.
