PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, commonly known as BRI, has allocated Rp25 trillion in cash to meet public transaction requirements during Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr 2026. The allocation has been adjusted in accordance with projected public demand and increased digital transaction growth.

During BRI’s Iftar Press Gathering in Jakarta on 10 March 2026, BRI Operations Director Hakim Putratama disclosed that the Rp25 trillion cash availability was designed to anticipate public transaction requirements during the seven-day holiday period, specifically 18-24 March 2026.

BRI also ensures optimal cash distribution by considering the requirements of operational units and regions experiencing increased economic activity during the extended holiday period.

Putratama explained that this year’s cash requirement can be calculated more efficiently as public preference for digital transactions continues to increase. During the 2025 Eid realisation period, BRI’s cash requirement was recorded at Rp26.5 trillion.

“BRI projects cash requirement during Ramadhan and Eid 2026 at Rp25 trillion, adjusted to the growing digital transaction trend preferred by the public,” he said in a statement dated Friday, 13 March 2026.

This figure is lower compared to the previous year’s realisation during Ramadhan and Eid 2025, which stood at Rp26.5 trillion, consistent with a 3 per cent year-on-year decline in cash withdrawal transactions.

“Nevertheless, we remain committed to ensuring adequate cash availability so that public transaction requirements are fully met during Ramadhan and Eid 2026,” said Hakim.

These measures represent BRI’s preparation to anticipate surges in public cash demand during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr celebration.

The provision of liquidity is also part of the company’s strategy to ensure the continuity of economic activity and maintain optimal quality of banking services during the Ramadhan and Eid period. The reliability of service systems remains a primary priority for the company so that customers can transact comfortably and securely.

All of BRI’s banking service networks, including the Super Apps BRImo offering more than 100 features, are ensured to be ready to support customer transaction requirements conveniently whenever needed.

Additionally, BRI is optimising its e-channel network as part of strengthening electronic transaction services, which includes 19,657 ATMs and CRMs, 284,670 EDC merchants, and 276,717 BRILink EDCs.

On the other hand, BRI is also optimising its network of 1.2 million BRILink agents spread throughout Indonesia, so the public can continue to transact safely and conveniently.

To complement these conveniences, customers can also utilise BRI’s Virtual Assistant “Sabrina” via WhatsApp at 0812 1214 017. Sabrina provides 24-hour services for product information, promotions, and information regarding branch office locations, ATMs, BRILink agent locations, as well as recommendations for nearby merchants.

BRI also provides communication channels through BRI Contact, available 24 hours at number 1500017 or through toll-free service at BRImo Help Centre.

“BRI is committed to continuously providing reliable and easily accessible banking services to the public, so that financial transaction requirements during Ramadhan and Eid can be fully met safely and comfortably,” concluded Hakim.
