Jakarta – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BRI, has prepared 25 trillion rupiah in cash to meet the transaction needs of the public during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026 period.

At a BRI Press Friend Iftar event held in Jakarta on 10 March, BRI Operations Director Hakim Putratama explained that the availability of 25 trillion rupiah in cash is projected to anticipate public transaction requirements during a seven-day holiday period from 18–24 March 2026. BRI also ensures that cash distribution is conducted optimally, taking into account the needs of operational units and regions experiencing increased economic activity during the extended holiday period.

He explained that this year’s cash requirements can be calculated more efficiently as public preference for digital transactions continues to grow. During the Eid al-Fitr 2025 realisation period, BRI’s cash requirement was recorded at 26.5 trillion rupiah.

The bank is implementing these measures as a form of preparedness to anticipate a surge in public cash demand during the Eid al-Fitr 2026 momentum. The provision of liquidity is also part of the company’s strategy to ensure smooth economic activity and maintain the quality of banking services during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period.

The reliability of service systems is a key priority for the company to ensure customers can transact comfortably and securely. All BRI banking service networks, including the BRImo Super Apps, are ensured to be ready to support customer transaction needs at any time.

In addition, BRI is optimising its e-channel network as part of strengthening electronic transaction services, which includes 19,657 ATMs and CRMs, 284,670 merchant EDCs, and 276,717 BRILink EDCs. Meanwhile, BRI is also optimising its network of 1.2 million BRILink agents spread across Indonesia, ensuring the public can transact safely and conveniently.

To complement these conveniences, customers can also utilise BRI’s virtual assistant “Sabrina” through WhatsApp at 0812 1214 017. Sabrina provides 24-hour service for product information, promotions, and information regarding branch office locations, ATMs, BRILink agents, and recommendations for nearby merchants. BRI also provides communication channels through Contact BRI, available 24 hours at 1500017 or through the toll-free service in the BRImo Help Centre.

“BRI is committed to continuing to provide reliable and easily accessible banking services to the public, so that financial transaction needs during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr can be met safely and comfortably,” concluded Hakim.
