BRI Posts Net Profit of Rp20.42 Trillion as of May 2026
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) posted a standalone net profit for the current period of Rp20.42 trillion as of May 2026. This achievement represents a 9.52% increase year-on-year (yoy). According to the May financial report, BRI recorded a slight 0.07% yoy dip in revenue to Rp66.77 trillion over the first five months of this year. Meanwhile, interest expenses successfully fell to Rp18.26 trillion from Rp19.33 trillion a year earlier. As a result, net interest income rose 6.64% yoy to Rp48.50 trillion, compared to Rp45.48 trillion in the previous year. In terms of intermediation, BRI recorded loan disbursements of Rp1,417.19 trillion, up 12.23% yoy for the May 2026 period. On the funding side, BRI’s total third-party funds reached Rp1,546.44 trillion, an 8.6% yoy increase from Rp1,423.87 trillion. BRI’s total assets reached Rp2,073.12 trillion, up from Rp1,893.38 trillion a year earlier. In the first quarter of 2026, BRI posted a consolidated profit of Rp15.5 trillion, a 13.74% yoy increase. During the first three months, BRI’s interest income was recorded at Rp52.83 trillion, up 5.94% yoy. Alongside this increase, interest expenses shrank by 9.31% to Rp12.68 trillion. In its intermediation function, BRI disbursed total loans and financing of Rp1,562 trillion, an increase of 13.7% yoy in the first quarter of 2026. People’s Business Credit (KUR) disbursement reached Rp47.09 trillion, serving 947,000 customers. BRI also disbursed Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) loans amounting to Rp17.13 trillion to 125,000 borrowers.
