BRI Peduli Marks National Children's Day 2026 with Educational Programmes to Build Character
In commemoration of National Children’s Day on 23 July 2026, BRI Peduli, serving as the umbrella for the bank’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme, took part in providing tangible support for the education of Indonesian children.
The support was delivered through various activities held at six schools receiving assistance under the BRI Peduli Ini Sekolahku programme, namely SDN Cisoka III and SDN Sukatani 2 Cisoka in Tangerang Regency, SDN 013 Pasirkaliki in Bandung City, SDN 104 Langensari in Bandung City, SDN 1 Sagalaherang in Subang, and SDN Sukamahi 2 Megamendung in Bogor Regency.
A range of activities were carried out, including arts performances and inspiration classes in the form of interactive sessions designed to broaden pupils’ horizons about the world of work in the digital era whilst instilling financial awareness from an early age.
The BRI Peduli Ini Sekolahku programme focuses on creating a safer, more comfortable and more decent learning environment, thereby supporting the teaching and learning process and improving the quality of education in Indonesia.
Through this programme, BRI provides various forms of support, including the renovation or construction of classrooms, library repairs, the construction or renovation of school toilets, the improvement of playing fields and play areas, the provision of desks, chairs and learning equipment, as well as scholarships for pupils.
BRI Corporate Secretary Dhanny said that BRI consistently supports the advancement of education and the intellectual development of Indonesia’s children. Efforts to educate the nation’s children are undertaken not only through formal education at school, but also through various other approaches capable of shaping character, instilling values of responsibility, and cultivating integrity from an early age.
The BRI Peduli activities at the various primary schools in honour of National Children’s Day aim to foster a spirit of learning and the courage to pursue one’s ambitions, as well as to develop character and skills.
“This is our offering from BRI to the children of Indonesia. On the occasion of National Children’s Day 2026, we hope the pupils can gain additional learning that shapes character, instils values of responsibility, and cultivates integrity from an early age,” he said.
Meanwhile, Sarna, Headteacher of SDN Cisoka III, expressed appreciation for BRI’s concern in supporting improvements to the quality of education through the BRI Peduli Ini Sekolahku programme.
