BRI partners with Syailendra Capital to simplify Sharia investment access via BRImo super app
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI has entered a strategic partnership with Syailendra Capital through a Mutual Fund Distribution Signing Ceremony at BRI’s headquarters in Jakarta on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.
The collaboration is part of BRI’s initiative to expand public access to Sharia-compliant investments. Aris Hartanto, BRI’s Consumer Banking Director, explained this aligns with the bank’s strategy to strengthen investment services for customers.
Through this partnership, Syailendra Capital’s mutual fund products are now accessible via the BRImo super app and BRI branches across Indonesia. It combines BRI’s extensive network with Syailendra Capital’s expertise as one of Indonesia’s largest asset management firms.
“For BRI, this partnership strengthens our wealth management ecosystem while providing integrated financial solutions tailored to evolving customer needs,” Aris stated in a release on Thursday, 28 May 2026.
Customers can access two key Syailendra Capital products: the Syailendra Sharia Money Market Fund (SSMMF) and Syailendra Sharia Fixed Income Fund (SSFIF). The SSMMF is a Sharia-compliant money market fund investing in Sharia-compliant money market instruments and Sharia bonds with maturities under one year.
With relatively low risk and high liquidity, the product is suitable for beginner investors and those seeking short-term deposits with competitive returns. As of 30 April 2026, the SSMMF recorded a one-year return of 4.99% with a minimum investment of Rp50,000.
The SSFIF is a Sharia-compliant fixed income fund focusing on Sharia bonds, particularly investment-grade corporate sukuk. It is actively and selectively managed through investments in corporate sukuk with a minimum A rating, ensuring relatively safeguarded credit risk.
Additionally, its portfolio is predominantly composed of short-duration instruments, leading to more stable performance and less sensitivity to interest rate or inflation changes. Targeted at moderate-risk investors seeking medium-to-long-term growth while adhering to Sharia principles, the SSFIF recorded a one-year return of 7.58% as of 30 April 2026, with a minimum investment of Rp10,000.
The partnership aims to broaden public access to Sharia investments and drive retail penetration of investment products across regions. BRI’s extensive network is expected to provide more practical and affordable Sharia investment alternatives for the public.
