BRI Marks National Children's Day with Educational Activities at Elementary Schools

Jakarta - BRI Peduli, the corporate social responsibility arm of state-owned bank BRI, provided educational support to mark National Children’s Day on 23 July 2026. Activities were held at six elementary schools, including SDN Cisoka III and SDN Sukatani 2 in Tangerang Regency, as well as schools in Bandung and Bogor.

The events featured art performances and inspirational classes designed to broaden students’ horizons about careers in the digital era while instilling financial awareness from an early age. The initiative falls under the ‘BRI Peduli Ini Sekolahku’ programme, which focuses on creating safer, more comfortable, and conducive learning environments.

BRI Corporate Secretary Dhanny stated that the bank is committed to advancing education and the intelligence of Indonesian children. “This is our offering for the children of Indonesia. In the momentum of National Children’s Day 2026, we hope students gain additional learning that shapes character, instils a sense of responsibility, and fosters integrity from an early age,” he said in an official statement on Thursday.

Sarna, Head of SDN Cisoka III, expressed appreciation for the programme, noting that it goes beyond infrastructure assistance. “The benefits are immense, especially for our students. They have become more enthusiastic in teaching and learning activities,” Sarna said.

Since its launch in 2021, the ‘BRI Peduli Ini Sekolahku’ programme has reached 68 schools across 17 provinces, directly benefiting 11,428 recipients. A total of 264 facilities have been renovated, 27 new facilities built, and 4,646 units of educational infrastructure provided. Programme evaluations recorded a Learning Comfort Score of 89%, reflecting improvements in the quality of the learning environment in terms of comfort, safety, and student motivation.
