BRI Introduces Rp100,000 discounts for weekend shopping on Tokopedia

BRI credit card holders are being pampered once again. The bank has introduced a special promotion with Tokopedia through the ‘BRI Weekend’ programme, offering discounts when shopping online over the weekends.

The promotion is valid every Saturday and Sunday from 9 May to 28 June 2026 via the Tokopedia app or website. customers can enjoy a Rp100,000 discount on transactions of at least Rp1 million using BRI credit cards.

BRI Consumer Banking Director Aris Hartanto stated that the initiative is part of BRI’s commitment to providing a convenient and profitable online shopping experience for its credit card holders while offering services and promotions aligned with current transaction needs.

‘As digital shopping activity grows, e-commerce platforms have become the primary choice for daily needs. Given this trend, weekend promotions provide additional benefits for customers to take advantage of their free time to fulfill shopping needs online,’ he said.

To avail of the promotion, customers should enter the BRIWEEKEND promotional code during checkout before making payment with a BRI credit card. The promotion applies to one user per transaction each month during the programme period. It is valid for all BRI credit card types, including co-branded, but not Corporate Cards.

Furthermore, Hartanto added that optimising the use of credit cards as a digital payment option is a key focus for BRI to strengthen its transaction ecosystem. By integrating with digital platforms, BRI aims to increase transaction frequency and expand credit card utilisation across various aspects of daily life.

BRI’s credit card business has shown solid growth, particularly in the affluent segment. As of March 2026, credit card transactions in this segment increased 31% year-on-year compared to the same period last year.
