BRI introduces Batavia USD mutual funds on BRImo app
Jakarta - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BRI, is strengthening its wealth management services by introducing US dollar (USD) denominated mutual fund products from Batavia Prosperindo Aset Manajemen through its super app BRImo and branch network. Through this partnership, BRI is launching three mutual fund products: Batavia China Sharia Equity USD, Batavia Technology Sharia Equity USD, and Batavia USD Bond Fund. BRI’s Director of Consumer Banking, Aris Hartanto, stated in Jakarta on Monday that the enhancement of wealth management services is ongoing, in line with customers’ evolving needs for increasingly diverse investment options. He noted that integrating investment services into BRImo is part of BRI’s strategy to deliver a more practical and integrated financial experience for customers. Aris added that the arrival of these USD mutual fund products simultaneously broadens the investment alternatives accessible via BRImo, enabling customers to manage both banking transactions and investments on a single platform. ‘Going forward, we will continue to strengthen wealth management services and enrich the range of products and services relevant to customer needs,’ said Aris. The company further stated that this collaboration is part of efforts to expand investment choices for customers amidst continuously evolving global market dynamics. Beyond providing easy access through the digital platform, the partnership also opens opportunities for customers to gain exposure to various investment themes in international markets. The three Batavia USD mutual fund products offer different investment characteristics, ranging from exposure to growth sectors in China and the global technology industry to US dollar government bond instruments. Batavia China Sharia Equity USD invests in equities of companies in China, including Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan, focusing on long-term growth themes such as artificial intelligence, humanoid robots, consumption recovery, and the electric vehicle supply chain. Meanwhile, Batavia Technology Sharia Equity USD provides exposure to global technology and communications sector companies that are integral to the development of the digital economy. Batavia USD Bond Fund invests in US dollar government bonds with a short-duration strategy to help keep portfolio volatility measured.
