PT BRI Asuransi Indonesia (BRI Insurance) has paid a Marine Hull insurance claim of Rp 5.65 billion to PT Poetra Jaya Sukses Mandiri. The claim payment is expected to support the company’s operational continuity after the insured vessel was involved in an accident.

The claim of Rp 5,652,088,000 was paid through BRI Batam Nagoya Branch to PT Poetra Jaya Sukses Mandiri following the grounding of the BG Audilia vessel in the waters of Sidomulyo, Kalianda, Lampung, in 2025.

BRI Insurance stated that it immediately began handling the matter after receiving the incident report. The process included assistance with the evacuation and salvage of the vessel, fulfilment of claim documents, and settlement of the claim payment.

Director of PT Poetra Jaya Sukses Mandiri Agus Andri Gunawan expressed appreciation for the claim settlement. According to him, the claim payment helps the company maintain business continuity.

“We are very grateful for the claim payment provided by BRI Insurance. We appreciate the claim service and BRI Insurance’s commitment to providing tangible insurance protection to customers. With the benefits we have received, our business can continue to operate properly,” said Agus in a statement on Thursday (6/8/2026).

BRI Batam Area Head Yulizar Verda said the claim payment is a form of commitment by BRI and BRI Insurance to provide protection to customers.

“This is a form of commitment by BRI and BRI Insurance to continue providing the best service and protection to all BRI customers,” he said.

Meanwhile, BRI Batam Nagoya Branch Office Head Temmi Heryuanto said insurance protection plays an important role in maintaining the business continuity of customers when facing operational risks.
