BRI Insurance: Heavy Equipment Insurance Protects Machinery
Damage or disruptions to assets can affect operational processes and lead to significant financial consequences.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT BRI Asuransi Indonesia (BRI Insurance) has introduced Heavy Equipment Insurance to provide protection against various risks affecting heavy machinery, which serves as a vital asset in customers’ business operations.
“This protection is increasingly relevant for business operators who rely on heavy equipment for their work, considering that damage or disruptions to assets can affect operational processes and simultaneously cause financial consequences,” said the President Director of BRI Insurance, Bidd Legowo, in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Furthermore, Budi stated that the company recently settled a Heavy Equipment Insurance claim worth Rp290,514,817 to Made Riantana at the BRI BO Tulang Bawang office in Lampung.
The claim was a follow-up to an incident involving a customer’s heavy equipment during operational activities. The machinery had partially submerged and become stuck in mud, requiring handling and repairs to return it to operational use.
Budi noted that BRI Insurance managed the process from the moment the incident was reported until the claim was approved. Providing assistance throughout this process is a vital part of ensuring customer needs are addressed accurately, while providing certainty in the claim settlement process.
“We hope that the claim payment made by BRI Insurance can alleviate the customer’s burden and serve as an encouragement for them to recover quickly,” he said.
According to Budi, this claim settlement is a manifestation of BRI Insurance’s presence in providing protection for customers facing risks to assets that support business activities.
“For BRI Insurance, insurance protection does not stop at providing products, but also encompasses the quality of service when risks occur through rapid response, continuous assistance, and settlements that help customers resume their activities,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Branch Manager of BRI BO Tulang Bawang, Wisnu Wardana, expressed appreciation for the cooperation between BRI and BRI Insurance in addressing customer needs. He noted that the response provided from the reporting process to the disbursement of the claim is a form of support for customers facing the impact of risks.
“This responsive handling is very helpful in maintaining the trust and operational continuity of BRI BO Tulang Bawang customers. Comprehensive handling also helps minimise the financial impact on customers and maintains the quality of our financing portfolio,” said Wisnu.
