BRI Insurance hands over Rp1.16 billion claim to support business operators
Jakarta (ANTARA) - BRI Insurance has handed over a claim of Rp1,165,800,000 to a customer in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, to support business continuity after heavy equipment was affected by a dyke breach disaster, resulting in significant losses.
BRI Insurance Branch Manager Ray Ardian Putra stated that the handover of the heavy equipment claim worth Rp1,165,800,000 demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing asset protection for business operators.
“We hope this claim fund can ease the burden and provide a sense of security to continue their business, and with our commitment to delivering the best service and protection in facing all unexpected conditions,” Ray said in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
He explained that the heavy equipment insurance claim payment was carried out by the BRI Banjarmasin Ahmad Yani office to the customer named Akhyar Syahbana.
“This claim is given for the incident of the dyke breach that caused the customer’s heavy equipment to be completely submerged and unable to be seen,” he said.
According to him, the incident had a significant impact on the customer’s business operations, making the presence of insurance protection very important in minimising the risk of losses.
Ray emphasised that the claim handover is also part of the company’s commitment as a protection partner in providing reliable and responsible services to customers.
“We, representing the BRI Insurance Banjarmasin branch, extend our condolences for the disaster experienced by our customer,” Ray said.
Furthermore, he stated that the claim handover reaffirms BRI Insurance’s role as a reliable protection partner in supporting customer business continuity across various sectors, particularly industries with high risk levels such as the use of heavy equipment.
BRI Insurance President Director Budi Legowo hopes that the claim payment can serve as encouragement for the customer to restart their business activities.
“We extend our condolences for the disaster that befell the customer. We fully understand that heavy equipment is not just an asset, but a supporter of the customer’s business operational processes,” he said.
BRI Insurance will continue to innovate in presenting relevant, adaptive, and trusted protection solutions for Indonesian society.
Meanwhile, claim recipient Akhyar Syahbana expressed gratitude for the services provided by BRI Insurance and Bank Rakyat Indonesia.
Akhyar appreciated the claim process service that ran smoothly, transparently, professionally, and quickly. The ease of coordination with BRI Insurance and BRI parties was very helpful in maintaining our business operational continuity.
“Thank you to all parties who have helped speed up this process. May this good synergy continue to be maintained and provide a sense of security for business operators, especially in the South Kalimantan region,” he said.
