PT BRI Asuransi Indonesia, or BRI Insurance, has collaborated with the Indonesian Motor Association (IMI) to provide personal accident insurance protection for all IMI members. The partnership agreement was signed by IMI General Chairman Moreno Soeprapto and BRI Insurance Chief Business Officer Recky Plangiten at the BRI Insurance head office in South Jakarta on Thursday, 23 April 2026.

This collaboration reaffirms the commitment of both institutions to offering comprehensive protection to 30,000 active IMI members, the sole parent organisation for motor vehicle sports in Indonesia recognised by the FIA, CIK, FIM, KONI, and KOI.

As is well known, the automotive world, whether in hobby activities, communities, or competitive sports, carries unavoidable risks. Therefore, this collaboration serves as a tangible commitment from both parties to elevate safety and security standards for the national automotive community.

Through this partnership, IMI members will receive personal accident insurance benefits with flexible package options, such as KTA Mobilitas with a premium of Rp 10,000 per person per year. KTA Mobilitas provides everyday accident coverage at home, in the office, or while travelling, with a guarantee limit for death and permanent disability of Rp 15,000,000 and hospital expense reimbursement up to Rp 1,250,000.

Additionally, there is KTA Profesional with a premium of Rp 20,000 per person per year, designed for members active in acceleration events, circuit races, touring, or high-risk hobbies, with a guarantee limit for death and permanent disability of Rp 30,000,000 and hospital expense reimbursement up to Rp 2,500,000.

Access is also available through the My IMI app. The insurance activation process can be done digitally via the My IMI application, where member registration data is automatically integrated with the BRI Insurance system for quick and efficient policy issuance.

IMI General Chairman Moreno Soeprapto stated that this partnership is an important step in providing peace of mind to all IMI members during their automotive activities. “The signing of the cooperation agreement between IMI and BRI Insurance is a concrete step we can take to provide security and tangible added value to all IMI KTA holders,” he said.

BRI Insurance CEO Budi Legowo emphasised that this partnership aligns with the company’s vision of expanding insurance protection to various segments of society, particularly the automotive community. “BRI Insurance is committed to delivering relevant and easily accessible protection solutions. This collaboration is expected to provide security and peace of mind to IMI members in all their activities,” he explained.

He added that the partnership is grounded in the shared vision between BRI Insurance and IMI to create a safer, more protected, and sustainable automotive ecosystem. With this protection, it is hoped that every IMI member can carry out their activities with confidence and increase awareness of the importance of risk management in the automotive world.

In addition to the aforementioned insurance packages, BRI Insurance also offers vehicle insurance named OTOMAXY by BRI Insurance for classic, premium, and regular vehicle categories. Budi Legowo stated that this newly launched product aims to provide services tailored to the needs of IMI members, especially in the community segment, particularly enthusiasts of classic and premium cars.

“This is our strategic step to tap into the potential amid market needs for vehicle insurance through the classic and premium car community under IMI’s guidance. This is further strengthened by IMI now being an official partner of BRI Insurance in collaborating on the automotive ecosystem for members, vehicles, and other assets,” he said.

In more detail, OTOMAXY by BRI Insurance for classics is intended for classic vehicles under 95 years old with a market value of around Rp 250 million and above. Meanwhile, premium vehicles are determined by a current value of at least Rp 2 billion, with two package options: Total Loss Only (TLO) and Comprehensive, supported by Emergency Roadside Assistance (ERA) services including 24/7 towing, battery jumping, tyre replacement, fuel delivery, and ambulance.

Currently, the OTOMAXY by BRI Insurance product can be accessed by the public through the BRINS Mobile app and by contacting the call centre at 14081, which will then connect exclusively to the Relationship Manager team for a straightforward, secure, and reliable insurance process.
