BRI Holds Imlek Prosperity 2026, Presents Exclusive Experience to Welcome Year of the Fire Horse
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, or BRI, held the BRI Imlek Prosperity 2026 event at the Mulia Hotel, Jakarta (20 February 2026).
Embracing the spirit of the 2026 Lunar New Year, known as the Year of the Fire Horse, this event serves as a form of appreciation from BRI for the diversity of traditions, while also strengthening relationships with customers in a warm and meaningful gathering with Chinese cultural elements throughout the event.
The event was attended by BRI’s Chief Commissioner, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, President Director of BRI, Hery Gunardi, Deputy President Director of BRI, Viviana Dyah Ayu RK, and the board of directors of BRI, along with more than 300 BRI customers.
The series of activities began with a Foyer Experience as a welcoming area, featuring guzheng music and a number of thematic activities, including Painting Fans, Face Reading, Zodiac Card, Taste of Peranakan, and Wheel of Fortune. The experience in the foyer area was designed to create a memorable celebratory atmosphere from the moment guests arrived.
BRI’s President Director, Hery Gunardi, said that the spirit of the Year of the Fire Horse serves as an important reminder of the importance of energy, courage, and resilience in maintaining sustainable growth.
“In this new year, we are entering the Year of the Fire Horse, a symbol of energy, courage, the spirit to move forward, and the resilience to face challenges. The horse symbolizes speed and perseverance, while the fire element represents spirit, transformation, and the strength to continue growing,” he said in a statement on Wednesday (25 February 2026).
As the main series began, the Barongsai and Bian Lian performances were among the highlights, conveying messages about good fortune, positive energy, and transformation.
The event also included a Yee Sang Ceremony, which is rich in meaning regarding prosperity and collaboration, in line with the spirit of shared growth, as well as a Feng Shui Talk, designed to provide insights for customers in welcoming the Lunar New Year, both from the perspective of personal and business planning, before the entire series concluded with special entertainment and a prosperity moment.
