BRI (PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk) distributed over 5,000 sacrificial animals, including cattle and goats/sheep, for Eid al-Adha 1447H/2026, channelled through its subsidiaries YBM BRILiaN and Bapekis BRI across Indonesia. As part of these activities, the sacrificial animal slaughter was held at BRILiaN Stadium in Jakarta on Wednesday (27 May), attended by BRI Group CEO Hery Gunardi, BRI Commissioner Chairperson Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, and other BRI Commissioners and Directors. The event symbolised unity and demonstrated BRI’s tangible commitment to strengthening social care, mutual assistance, and the spirit of sharing among the community during Eid al-Adha. BRI Group CEO Hery Gunardi stated that Eid al-Adha serves as an important reminder of the values of compassion, mutual assistance, and sharing, particularly for those in need. “Eid al-Adha is not merely about the ritual of sacrifice but also an opportunity to strengthen social solidarity and deliver tangible benefits to the community. Through the distribution of sacrificial animals, BRI, as part of Danantara, aims to continue growing alongside the people,” he said. Hery added that the social activities form part of BRI’s ongoing commitment to supporting community welfare and bolstering social and food security in Indonesia. He noted that the aid distribution was carried out evenly, involving BRI’s extensive network and subsidiaries reaching even remote areas, ensuring the programme’s benefits reach communities directly. “As a pillar of the national economy, BRI not only focuses on business growth but also consistently upholds corporate social responsibility. We hope the assistance provided will help communities meet their food needs and bring joy during Eid al-Adha,” Hery concluded.
