BRI Group Distributes Over 5,000 Sacrificial Animals Across Indonesia for Idul Adha Spirit of Sharing
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI has reaffirmed its commitment to providing tangible benefits to the community through various social activities during the Idul Adha 1447 H/2026 period. BRI Group distributed over 5,000 sacrificial animals, including cattle and goats/sheep, channeled through its subsidiaries YBM BRILiaN and Bapekis BRI across Indonesia.
The sacrificial animal slaughter was held at BRILiaN Stadium in Jakarta on Wednesday (27 May), attended by BRI Group CEO Hery Gunardi, BRI Chairman Kartika Wirjoatmodjo, and other BRI commissioners and directors. The event symbolised unity and BRI’s concrete commitment to strengthening social care, mutual assistance, and the spirit of sharing during Idul Adha.
BRI Group CEO Hery Gunardi stated that Idul Adha serves as an important reminder of the values of care, mutual assistance, and sharing, especially for those in need.
“Idul Adha is not merely about the ritual of sacrifice but also an opportunity to strengthen social solidarity and deliver tangible benefits to the community. Through the distribution of sacrificial animals, BRI, as part of Danantara, aims to continue growing alongside the people,” he said.
Hery added that the social activities are part of BRI’s ongoing commitment to support community welfare and strengthen social and food security across Indonesia.
He explained that the aid distribution is conducted evenly through BRI’s extensive network, including remote areas, ensuring direct community benefits.
“As a pillar of the national economy, BRI not only focuses on business growth but also consistently fulfils its corporate social responsibility. We hope the assistance provided helps communities meet their food needs and brings joy during Idul Adha,” Hery added.
