Jakarta — Danantara Indonesia marked one year of its institutional journey through a reflection gathering held at Wisma Danantara, attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Cabinet Ministers, and all Danantara personnel.

During the event, President Prabowo Subianto directed all Danantara Indonesia staff on the importance of maintaining integrity, disciplined governance, and long-term orientation in managing state assets to strengthen the foundation of national economic development.

Prabowo emphasised that Danantara Indonesia was established to ensure the professional management of state assets with an orientation towards the nation’s long-term interests, thereby providing tangible added value to national development and public welfare. “We are grateful that Indonesia now has a state investment management institution that can be compared to sovereign wealth funds at the global level. In this first year, it is evident that with good management, disciplined governance, and strong commitment, the performance of state asset management has improved significantly. However, this achievement is only the beginning. Going forward, we must continue to strengthen governance and improve performance so that state asset management truly provides maximum benefits for the Indonesian people,” Prabowo stated on 12 March 2026.

The one-year celebration carried the theme “One Danantara,” reflecting the spirit of all state-owned enterprises moving together to strengthen the foundation of the national economy and create broader impacts for future generations.

Danantara Indonesia CEO Rosan Roeslani stated that the first year of Danantara’s journey focused on building strong institutional foundations and governance, whilst ensuring that state investment management remained grounded in creating long-term benefits for society. “State asset management ultimately must provide tangible impact on the nation’s future. Therefore, commitment to developing future generations has also become an important part of Danantara Indonesia’s journey,” he said.

This commitment is reflected not only in strengthening governance and state asset management structures, but also in various initiatives affirming that development results must provide tangible benefits for society, including Indonesia’s youth. Through this one-year milestone, Danantara Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to continue strengthening governance foundations, improving state asset management quality, and encouraging strategic investments that provide long-term economic and social impact for Indonesia. “This first year is a phase of building foundations. Going forward, our focus is ensuring these foundations translate into tangible performance through strong governance, professional state asset management, and strategic investments that benefit the national economy and Indonesia’s future generation,” Rosan concluded.

As a symbol of commitment to the nation’s young people, a symbolic distribution of 88,000 school supply packages for children throughout Indonesia also took place. This programme was implemented simultaneously by state-owned enterprises across various regions as a form of support for educational access and preparation of Indonesia’s Golden Generation.

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI), as part of the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem, continues to provide tangible support for educational advancement in Indonesia. This support is demonstrated through the distribution of 5,500 school packages to students in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), West Sumatra, and Southwest Papua.

BRI’s Chief Director Hery Gunardi stated that this activity is not merely a distribution of school package assistance, but represents BRI’s concern and responsibility in supporting educational advancement in Indonesia, particularly in the NTT, West Sumatra, and Southwest Papua regions. “BRI strengthens the foundation of Indonesia’s future generation through the distribution of 5,500 school packages in various regions. We hope this assistance benefits students and can motivate and ignite enthusiasm for continued learning and realising dreams. This programme is also expected to develop an exceptional generation from the NTT, West Sumatra, and Southwest Papua regions,” Hery said.

Hery added that education plays an important role in shaping character, opening doors of opportunity, and providing the skills necessary for success in global competition. The school packages distributed by BRI are expected to support the learning activities of students and ultimately support the advancement of the nation’s educational progress.
