BRI Denpasar Holds Joint Iftar and Support Programme for Orphaned Children
BRI Region 17 Denpasar held a joint iftar dinner and distribution of financial aid to orphaned children. The activity, themed ‘Happy Ramadan for All’, was held at the BRI Region 17 Denpasar office on Friday, 6 March 2026.
Regional CEO of BRI Region 17 Denpasar, Hery Noercahya, stated that the joint iftar and aid distribution to orphaned children represented part of BRI’s commitment to delivering benefits to the community, particularly during Ramadan. “Through this Ramadan momentum, BRI wishes to share happiness with orphaned children and express appreciation to our basic-level workers who have contributed to supporting BRI’s operations,” he said in a written statement on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
BRI Region 17 Denpasar distributed financial aid to 100 orphaned children. Additionally, they received 100 Eid gift packages in preparation for Eid al-Fitr.
BRI also provided 50 Eid parcel packages to 50 basic-level workers across Denpasar. The distribution of assistance represented an expression of appreciation for their dedication in supporting banking operations.
This social activity was realised through cooperation between BRI Region 17 Denpasar, YBM BRILiaN, and support from BRI subsidiaries. The aid provided to orphaned children was sourced from zakat managed by YBM BRILiaN.
Hery emphasised that BRI continues to contribute to society and strengthen the company’s role in supporting social development and improving community welfare. The state-owned bank consistently distributes zakat from BRI employees for various social activities and community empowerment programmes.
Purwanti, a facilitator from the Yayasan Cinta Negeri Peduli Sesama foundation, expressed gratitude for the assistance from BRI. “The aid and Eid gifts provided by BRI are certainly very meaningful for them (the orphaned children), particularly in welcoming Eid al-Fitr filled with joy,” she said.
Purwanti added that the orphaned children she supports were able to experience care and attention from many parties. “We hope this assistance not only brings joy at present, but can also serve as motivation for the children to remain enthusiastic in their studies and pursue their aspirations,” she added.
