BRI Delivers Real Contribution with Largest Dividend Payout in Its History
Under the supervision of Danantara, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk continues to strengthen its role as a driver of the people’s economy through enhanced performance, sustainable business transformation, and a commitment to creating added value for society and the state. The company’s solid performance throughout 2025 served as the foundation for BRI to once again make a significant contribution to the state through dividend distribution.
During the 2026 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, the company approved a total cash dividend for the 2025 financial year of Rp52.1 trillion, or Rp346.00 per share. This distribution is based on the company’s consolidated net profit for the financial year ending 31 December 2025, which amounted to Rp57.132 trillion, with total profit attributable to owners of the parent entity reaching Rp56.65 trillion.
This achievement reaffirms BRI’s position as one of the largest dividend contributors to the state, while also reflecting the company’s ability to sustain long-term business growth. This solid performance momentum continued into early 2026. In the first quarter of 2026, BRI recorded a consolidated net profit of Rp15.5 trillion, growing 13.7% year-on-year (yoy).
In terms of intermediation, loan disbursement reached Rp1,562 trillion, an increase of 13.7% yoy, while Third-Party Funds were recorded at Rp1,555 trillion, growing 9.4% yoy. Amidst this well-maintained performance, BRI President Director Hery Gunardi stated that the presence of Danantara marks an important momentum for BRI to strengthen synergy, accelerate transformation, and enhance the company’s role in supporting the national development agenda.
“BRI will continue its transformation by relying on strong fundamentals, strengthening its core business, and developing new sources of growth. The presence of Danantara is an important momentum for BRI to strengthen its role in supporting the achievement of national strategic programmes and various government priority programmes. We want to ensure that the company’s growth is not only reflected in financial performance, but also in BRI’s real contribution to empowering MSMEs, strengthening the people’s economy, and creating a broader economic impact for the community,” Hery said in an official statement on Monday (6/7/2026).
In this new phase of management under Danantara, BRI continues to strengthen performance and accelerate transformation to maintain healthy and sustainable growth, while supporting government programmes in driving the people’s economy. This commitment is reflected in several strategic steps, including the record dividend payout of Rp52.1 trillion, which reinforces the company’s consistency in maintaining profitability and creating value for shareholders. The bank has also launched a transformation programme called BRIVolution Reignite, designed to strengthen its business foundation, increase efficiency, and ensure relevance amid changing economic and technological landscapes. Furthermore, BRI has undertaken a corporate rebranding to present a more modern, universal, and inclusive identity, while retaining its core DNA of siding with the people and empowering MSMEs.
On the financial front, BRI’s cost of fund improved to 2.3% in the first quarter of 2026, supported by a 13.2% yoy growth in CASA to Rp1,058.6 trillion. The bank also remains the largest distributor of People’s Business Credit (KUR), with realisation reaching Rp84.36 trillion from January to May 2026, the majority of which was channelled to productive sectors, including Rp35.91 trillion to agriculture. Additionally, BRI’s commitment to supporting the national housing sector is evident through its Property Ownership Credit (KPP) distribution, which reached Rp9.5 trillion to 68,212 debtors as of 31 May 2026, with the total allocation for the year increased from Rp8 trillion to Rp12 trillion.
