BRI Completes 65% Stake Divestment in BRI Manajemen Investasi to Danantara
PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) has completed the divestment of its 65% stake in PT BRI Manajemen Investasi (BRI MI) to PT Danantara Asset Management (DAM). The transaction was finalised through the signing of a Share Sale and Purchase Deed on 22 July 2026. Under the agreement, DAM acquired 19.5 million shares, representing 65% of BRI MI’s total issued and paid-up capital. This follows a conditional sale and purchase agreement signed on 1 April 2026. BRI stated that the transaction is classified as an affiliated transaction, as both BRI and DAM share an affiliation under the regulations of the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The divestment is part of DAM’s strategic initiative as an operational holding to build a more competitive asset management firm, enhancing business synergies and strengthening its capabilities.
